Never Stop Building

Reflecting on 2024: Health & Safety Milestones and Achievements

Building a culture of health and safety is a combined team effort that has allowed us to take significant strides in advancing our safety management practices in 2024.

As part of last year’s investment in worker safety, we provided 5,400 hours of safety training. This commitment extends beyond training by ensuring our safety teams have all the tools they need to support our on-site crews as we transition into a new safety management system. This system supports our crews on the field by centralizing access to our health and safety documentation, training, site inspections, and our toolbox talks.

Our ongoing commitment to safe workplaces is reflected in our training, procedures, and policies. With the integration of our new health and safety management system, workers can easily submit near-miss reports using QR codes placed on-site linked to our system. Our team uses these reports to adjust processes, update training, and improve equipment.

Another milestone we are proud to have achieved this year is surpassing 500 days with no Lost Time Injuries (LTIs). In addition to this achievement, our Design Build team last year was recognized by the Ontario General Contractors Association (OGCA) for surpassing 960,000 person hours worked with no LTIs.

We’re proud of all the progress we’ve made and the safety achievements our team has earned this year. These accomplishments reflect our ongoing dedication to building a strong culture of safety.
