Purpose-Built Rental Project Breaks Ground at 1925 Victoria Park

We’re supporting the delivery of a 12-storey mid-rise rental apartment in Scarborough, Ontario for Well Grounded Real Estate. As Construction Managers, Amico Design Build will be scheduling, organizing and managing the construction process. With our team’s experience in design-build projects, we understand the importance of collaboration between subtrades for on-site efficiency. Through proper coordination, our team is prepared to manage scheduling and site activity to maintain a safe and productive environment.

This project will set a precedent for sustainable and affordable buildings in this vibrant community. The development will provide 185 residential units, one floor of mixed-use retail space, and one level of underground parking. A central courtyard with open-air corridors will provide social spaces for residents to come together, which are an important element in community-focused rental housing. Natural features will include a selection of diverse plant life that will create comfortable microclimates, provide protection from wind, snow and rain while passively managing on-site stormwater. To make the building more sustainable, low-carbon footprint materials were selected such as CREE, a hybrid system combining wood and precast concrete. Energy-efficient design will bring long-term environmental benefits and achieve Toronto Green Standard (TGS).

As founder and President, Mr. Amicone directs, co-ordinates, and oversees a select team of dedicated professionals to ensure overall target objectives are attained. Ensuring a seamless delivery to the client, Mr. Amicone is responsible for the overall management of the entire contract, leading and maintaining internal programmes and workcycles as well as dealing at the senior level with the owner, local Authorities and all third-party stakeholders.
