University of Windsor’s School of Creative Arts Building

Amico was the General Contractor for the new construction of the single-storey, 20,000 SF SoCA Building in downtown Windsor.

The project was constructed on a constrained site adjacent to the University’s Armories project. Amico established early coordination with the neighboring contractor for this project to identify any potential interference points in order to mitigate the potential for delays to either project

Amico worked together with the clients and consultants in value engineering the building to ensure enhanced constructability and was also responsible for overseeing the management of the construction process, including controlling the project schedule and budget, tendering and directing subcontractor work, ensuring quality control, document control, and implementing site safety. Amico self-performed all site preparation, servicing and performed asphalt pavement for the parking lot.
