Seasons St. Thomas Retirement Residence

As Construction Manager, Amico’s scope of work included the development and construction of a five-storey, 139,150 SF, 142 suite seniors housing and independent supportive living retirement community. Additionally, nine townhomes units were built adjacent to the new retirement residence. Seasons St. Thomas has a cast-in-place foundation with a prefabricated light-gauge steel superstructure.

Amico’s modular building division, A-LINX Building Technologies, provided the services to fabricate and supply all the interior and exterior load bearing wall panels from the ground floor through the fifth. A-LINX also fabricated and supplied the light gauge roof trusses while coordinating several actions related to the superstructure of the building through their structural engineer. The A-LINX Building System was completely fabricated within its Windsor-based plant utilizing approximately 10 employees and delivered to site in roughly 16 trips.

At the height of construction, as many as 80 site personnel from 16 trades were on site daily throughout the project duration.
