Seasons Cambridge Retirement Residence

As Construction Manager, Amico’s scope of work included the development and construction of a new 8-storey, 154,000 SF, 135 suite seniors housing and independent supportive living retirement community, including 28,000 SF of parking.  The building has a cast in place foundation with a prefabricated and prefinished light gauge superstructure.

Utilizing Amico’s modular building division, A-LINX Building Technologies, the building’s superstructure was produced and completely built in an offsite facility. The exterior shell of the building was a mixture of stone and masonary and Exterior Insulated Façade System (EIFS/Stucco) on load-bearing Cold-Formed Steel walls.  Focused on quality and throughput efficiencies of the prefabricated system, Amico was able to significantly reduce the project schedule and exercise value-added coordination with the trades during the building process.

At the height of construction, as many as 90 site personnel from 12 different trades were on site daily throughout the project duration.
