Hyde Park Road Reconstruction – Phase 1
Located in London, Ontario, the Hyde Park Road Reconstruction project was one of the city’s most substantial roadwork projects in recent years. As one of the city’s busiest north-south arterial roads, Hyde Park experiences a high degree of traffic congestion between Oxford Street and Fanshawe Park Road. Therefore, plans were made to widen 4km of the road from 2 lanes to 4 lanes from Oxford to Sunningdale Road. The project also required the side-by-side rehabilitation and new construction of two twin span steel girder bridges, each approximately 60 m in length, over a live CN rail.
Scope of Work: As General Contractor, Amico managed cost, schedule, site crews, subcontractors and equipment for the project. Amico was also responsible for quality control and administered health and safety on site. Amico self-performed the majority of excavation, drainage, road building and site works services.
