
Ontario Line Elevated Guideway & Stations
Description
This is one of several contracts to deliver the Ontario Line, a 15.6 km stand-alone rapid transit line that will connect the Ontario Science Centre
to Exhibition/Ontario Place. Because more than 227,500 people live within a 10-minute walk of an Ontario Line station, the new line will help alleviate traffic congestion, greenhouse gases and fuel consumption by providing an
alternative transportation option.
Scope
- Three kilometres of elevated guideway (bridge structures)
- Five elevated stations and one emergency exit building
- Interface with the maintenance and storage facility
- Interfaces with Eglinton Crosstown LRT Line 5 and sections of existing
Metrolinx-owned rail corridor where Ontario Line trains will operate
