Description
The McGibbon on Main is a ten-storey, 275,000 sq. ft. condominium development with 169 suites and 4000 sq. ft. of commercial space, located on a 100-year-old heritage site in downtown Georgetown, Ontario.
Scope
Amico teamed self-performed all development and construction of the project. The team was responsible for all equity, site selection, permitting, design management and construction, sales and contracting aspects.
Key Features
- Preservation of heritage building, reclamation of brick work for heritage
street-level facade - Amico was brought into an existing group to relaunch the project after
a previous contractor’s failure. Amico’s expertise in condominium development allowed it to set budgets and construction schedules, and commit the resources required to achieve the project team’s goals.
