On Friday, September 3, the new and improved Creditview Road Bridge was opened for use, restoring two-way access across Highway 401.
The previous bridge was built in 1958 and was nearing the end of its lifespan. The new bridge will open in two stages, the first stage restores traffic over the highway with one lane in each direction. Stage two, expected to open in Spring 2022, will expand traffic lanes from two to four – and includes a multi-use path for walking, running or cycling. This new infrastructure provides safer and better traffic flow with protection for recreational users.
West Corridor Constructors thanks local residents and the City of Mississauga for their support during the bridge closure and reconstruction.
