Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to support Amico business decisions, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance and support strategic planning
- Prepare and present accurate, timely, and insightful financial reports to senior management
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Assist the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to ensure alignment with Amico’s goals
- Monitor and update financial forecasts, identifying key trends and variances
- Work closely with various departments to understand their financial needs and provide guidance on financial matters
- Participate in strategic projects and initiatives, monthly project meetings, providing financial insights and recommendations
- Identify risks and advise management with mitigation plans.
- Act as a financial advisor to operational managers, helping them to understand financial implications of their business decisions
- Review JV financial reports and Estimate At Completion reports on projects
- Ensure financial & operational policies & procedures, compliance regulations
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and other business development activities through financial due diligence and integration planning
- Maintain strong internal controls and support audit processes as needed
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field will be considered an asset
- CFA, CPA designation required
- Expertise in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel is required
- Superior written, oral and analytical skills in complex and at times adversarial situations
- Ability to produce managerial and financial reports for upper management with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- In depth knowledge in advance Excel, financial modelling skillset.
- Knowledge of current accounting laws and regulations in Ontario
- Background in BI reporting with project-based company experience
