We’re proud to announce the completion of the superstructure for the McGibbon Condominium development, located in the heart of Georgetown, ON. Since 2022, our team has been hard at work building this 11-storey residence, which will feature 169 units and a variety of amenities including a gym, coworking space, outdoor terrace, and communal hobby spaces.
To preserve the character of the street, our team carefully removed 8,000 bricks from the previous McGibbon Hotel, which dates back to the 1800s. These bricks were preserved and will be placed on the west face of the new condominium as a heritage element. This unique feature not only preserves the history but maintains the charm of Main Street.
This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of our incredible team. From day one, our team prioritized both safety and coordination. By following safety protocols throughout the project, we not only provided a secure environment for our crew but all our subtrades and partners on-site.
The next milestone for our team will be the completion of the roof membrane and the building envelope, which includes the installation of the original red bricks. This exciting work can already be seen at the front of the building where some of the original bricks have already been installed. As the exterior takes shape, we move closer to welcoming more residents to the vibrant community of Georgetown.
