Never Stop Building

A-Linx’s Innovative Housing Solution: Groundbreaking Partnership with Habitat for Humanity Windsor-Essex

A-Linx, Amico’s innovation-driven division for modular and prefabricated construction, is proud to partner with Habitat for Humanity Windsor-Essex on a new modular building program, marking a major step forward in addressing Canada’s housing challenges.

This groundbreaking initiative will deliver a 16-home development in Amherstburg, Ontario. Each home will be precision-built inside our controlled manufacturing facility using 100 percent Canadian steel, then transported to site once foundations are ready. This process reduces weather delays, shortens build times, and ensures long-term durability.

A-Linx is redefining what modular construction means in Canada. Our building systems adaptable designs address everything from accessory dwelling units, Missing Middle, to 20 story buildings. Built to National Building Code, we are one of the only modular builders poised to scale at a national level.

By combining advanced modular technology with Canadian manufacturing expertise, this program demonstrates how innovation can redefine speed, quality, and affordability in homebuilding. This initiative marks a major milestone in our team’s development as we continue to grow and expand our capabilities. At the heart of our mission is a commitment to strengthening communities by developing housing solutions that not only reduce building costs but also create lasting impact for families.

At our groundbreaking event, Justin Amicone, General Manager Amico Design Build and A-Linx said, “This is more than one project. It is a demonstration of how Canadian manufacturing capacity can be applied to the housing challenge. By combining advanced building technology with strong community partners, we can accelerate delivery of attainable homes and create a replicable model for regions across the country.”

As construction planning begins in 2026, this partnership represents a new chapter in Canadian housing innovation. Together with the Habitat for Humanity Windsor-Essex, A-Linx proves that, through collaboration and innovation, affordable housing can be built.
